Owing to rapid industrialization and urbanization globally, the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) industry has seen an uptick in recent years. The COVID-19 pandemic and global climate change have intensified the urgent need for energy efficient and optimally ventilated air handling systems in commercial and industrial facilities. This has led to a rise in demand for Air Handling Units (AHU). Not only do AHUs help maintain indoor room temperature, but they also filter out toxic air pollutants that can cause various medical ailments and respiratory disorders. As the global AHU market continues to grow, AHU manufacturers realize the need to quickly up their game to meet increasing customer demands. With new market players seeking the latest technologies to tackle the rising demand for AHUs, the stage is set for companies like Kinetix Software to help them streamline the entire AHU manufacturing process.

Kinetix offers a unified web-based collaborative software platform that gives AHU manufacturers complete control over managing the entire lifecycle of AHU manufacturing. The company's cloud-based software allows organizations to accelerate the AHU manufacturing process with greater engineering accuracy and lower risk. "We are in the process of disrupting the way the AHU business runs. Not only do we reduce the design phase from weeks to hours, customers can also price and submit AHUs on our platform in less than an hour,” notes Sevag Ajemian, President and CEO of Kinetix Software. Kinetix ensures that all stakeholders can collaborate seamlessly in real-time and have access to the latest up-to-the-minute information at all times. From the design, sales, engineering submittals, production to shipping and service, everything can be viewed and managed from the unified Kinetix Air platform.

While engaging with its clients, Kinetix partners with component manufacturers that the client requires and integrates their products into the platform. The company not only provides the AHU manufacturer with the cloud software platform but also trains the users on its effective usage. "While we offer support to our clients post-sales, they are very much self-sufficient once they have undergone our short onboarding program," adds Ajemian. Kinetix gives manufacturers the ability to design or make selections—be it a coil, fan, energy recovery wheel, or any other component—in producing an AHU while performing all the dimensional and performance validations automatically, eliminating manual errors. Also, users can measure the characteristics of the air that comes out of the designed AHU and verify if it meets their expectations. With 3D and 2D modeling features available in various formats such as DXF (DWG), STEP, Revit and more, Kinetix adds value for clients while working with CAD packages and BIM systems. "We are sensitive to the needs of our clients, and from day one, we work on partnering with component manufacturers preferred by our clients. This offers a holistic experience," adds Vicken Arabian, Subject Matter Expert at Kinetix Software. Moreover, Kinetix's cloud-based software ensures optimum security for its clients' data. The company also provides individual virtual servers to each client to prevent data leakage.

Kinetix, unlike most of its competitors, is not just a selection software. It is designed to be a complete AHU project management system. "We have a robust content management system (CMS) and we continuously develop and optimize our software, adding component DLLs and API integrations. Instead of charging our client for every optimization, we write our software with a universal code that allows an administrator to easily customize the software to their needs," says Vicken. The company's customer administrator customizable CMS can be used to define various settings such as dimensional standards, validations, performance standards, cost figures, raw materials, and more. The Kinetix Air platform also allows all stakeholders to manage a project with a customizable workflow tool and with role-based user-specific permission levels, all set and maintained by the manufacturer’s in-house administrator. Kinetix also offers a robust Activity-Based Cost (ABC) accounting system commonly used in the custom manufacturing industry.

As a company working at the cutting edge of technology, Kinetix is focused on maintaining and strengthening its leadership position in the market and updating its tools and software at every step. The company is keen to add more component manufacturers to its system and increase its client base. "Currently, we are focused on growing in the North American market. But we have been receiving enquiries from Europe and the Middle East. We look forward to expanding to international markets soon," notes Ajemian.
